Who we’re looking for

For our Commercial team based in Amsterdam we are looking for a Contract Operations Specialist who will accelerate initiatives that enhance our end to end contract management processes. In this role you will work closely with key stakeholders in the Commercial team (leadership, regional teams, customer success) as well as maintaining a strong link with the Legal Operations team. You will report to the Director Customer Excellence.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be experienced in contract operations and process optimization, and have strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Optimization of Contract Management processes, systems and workflows

  • Contribute to the development of Contract Management workflows, establish and measure KPI’s and provide insights through the use of dashboarding
  • Be in the lead of contract related policy development. Create user manuals and standard operating procedures, and regularly updating these manuals and SOP to reflect changes in processes, templates, etc
  • First point of contact for Sales on Contract Operations, resolving issues (e.g. templates, Ironclad), Data collection (e.g. regular user surveys, Ironclad data collection) and “Back-end” Ironclad administration together with Legal Operations.
  • Leverage your work on the Contract Lifecycle Management systems to Conduct training on relevant policies, processes, tools, and features for the sales teams
  • Guard, support and align our contracting principles as part of the Contract Operations Cross-Functional Team, consisting of Contract Operations Specialists from other teams and Legal Operations.

Contract analytics

  • Align closely with our Account Management team to provide insights on the health of the account contract (not limited to revenue)
  • Be in the driving seat to set up a process to pro-actively monitor the performance of contracts
  • Lead the forecasting cycle from a long-term contracting perspective, be involved in the contract related forecasts
  • Provide pro-active insights in the health of our contracts, not limited to the performance
  • Analysis and insights on success cases: a won-deal / lost deal reasoning and action to follow in the next cases
  • Track the contract performance and build easy to follow overviews for the team
  • Support and monitor lifecycle events for contracts

Project management

  • Execute Productivity Improvement projects according to agreed quality, time and results
  • Communicate effectively with managers to identify and address areas for improvement
  • Effectively collaborate with other functions in the company
  • Ensure initiatives meet the needs of regional sales teams

Requirements

Qualification / Experience

  • Hands-on, organized, pro-active and eager to learn
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to adapt to a quickly changing environment
  • Demonstrated track record of detail-oriented and self-motivated approach to resolving complicated and/or high-profile problems
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree

Skills / knowledge

  • Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy: ability to understand standard logics and functionality of new software.
  • Demonstrated experience of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong skill set working with business applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), DocuSign, SAP, etc.
  • Strong affinity with CRM / Contract Management applications, preferably Salesforce.com and
