MAIN JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a member of The Global Food Ingredients team, supporting the development and leading the implementation of the portfolio procurement strategy .
  • Managing the portfolio, containing multiple purchase commodities within (eg. Vitamins & Fortification, Salt replacers and natural preservatives).
  • Developing strong relationship with suppliers and analyze their capabilities to develop long term supplier strategies.
  • Leading frequent global negotiations, delivering of savings and cash targets via excellent market understanding, strategy implementations, negotiation skills and application of price risk management (PRM) principles.
  • Implement contracts and ensuring high service levels to sourcing units across Europe.
  • Ensuring compliance of RSP, Contracting, Quality and service in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Initiate global portfolio initiatives (e.g. ZBB, ASA/AMA, Resilience, market development, etc) to create more leverage globally, ensuring strong connection with the regions and MET’s.
  • Support the collaboration between global suppliers and regional procurement teams to establish both short and long-term business objectives.
  • Support innovation projects through strong collaboration with R&D-team, providing market intelligence, supplier capabilities and capacity.
  • Work closely with the finance community to support the business with accurate price forecasting, including market price trends and future market trends to enable proper budgeting and price forecasting.
  • Continuously seeking for new opportunities and always open for improvement.

THE QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR:

  • Minimal Bachelor’s Degree.
  • >2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain functions
  • Experience in Cross Functional working / Affinity or working experience with/in R&D.
  • High level Business acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Self-starter with strong accountability, responsibility and leadership skills.
  • Strong on execution, have analytical skills and be pro-active.
  • Able to work independently and virtually.
  • Be result and solution oriented; be able to solve (unexpected) problems (at short notice).
  • Able to build relationships with people across the business (internally & externally).
  • Experience in and understanding of business processes.
  • Multi-level communication and being a good team player.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to engage and influence others.
