Role Description:

The Enterprise Architect Domain Infrastructure establishes an end-to-end vision for the overall technology landscape regarding the “Infrastructure and Cloud” domain and its position and relation to the broader enterprise-wide (business) technology landscape, including aligning to enterprise strategies, standards, and application lifecycle roadmap.

Working closely together, the team of Domain Architects develops and maintains the architecture artifacts that direct and guide Trivium toward realizing the Target Enterprise Architecture. In this role, the architect takes ownership and proactively supports programs, projects, and initiatives translating the architecture and roadmaps into practical realization, focusing on delivering value. In this way, “stand on the pitch” to share and lead towards the realization of the target architecture.

The Domain Architect Infrastructure has extensive knowledge and experience in architecting and designing a global hybrid cloud enterprise stack-based Microsoft Azure, local Plant edge solutions, network infrastructures, and digital workplaces. Is communicative and a team player and can translate concepts into practical change. Can balance strategic and conceptual thinking with functional and operational implementation. Has a thorough industrial background and experience and is used to working in an international setting. Experience with Infrastructure as a Code, SD-networking, Microsoft Azure, Office365, Network infrastructures, Edge Computing, and Digital workplaces is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and maintain architectural / technology principles and standards for the “Infrastructure and Cloud” domain in alignment with enterprise guidance considering the (Azure) Cloud, Edge infrastructure, Global Network Infrastructure, and the Digital Workplace
  • Communicate infrastructure concepts to all levels of management and address infrastructure reusability and services
  • Ensure that expected infrastructure quality attribute levels are achieved
  • Actively contribute to the development, assessment, and realization of the Enterprise Architecture and the Enterprise Architecture Governance
  • Develop domain-specific technology/architecture roadmaps based on specific needs focusing on the (Azure) Cloud, Edge infrastructure, Global Network Infrastructure, and the Digital Workplace
  • Provide overall guidance/direction and collaborate in the development of any needed architecture domain-specific models across business capabilities and technology capabilities
  • Conduct analysis to determine the best path/ opportunities for solving Architecture Domain-specific or related problems that may include process improvements, system enhancements, etc.
  • Engage with project delivery teams to communicate, direct, and promote alignment with the “Infrastructure and Cloud” architecture
  • Identify, analyze, review, and evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities to develop new infrastructure services, products, new technologies, and architectural models.
  • Collaborate across architecture and business domains to find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the innovation and emerging business pipeline.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of projects that move ideas from ideation to incubation and prototyping

Requirements for Job:

  • Deep understanding of the infrastructure and cloud domain as well as architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices in a manufacturing environment, Infrastructure as a Code, SD-networking, Microsoft Azure, Office365, Security application, Network infrastructures, Edge Computing, and Digital workplaces, I(i)oT, hyper-converged/ azure stack, and containerized infrastructures
  • Breadth of knowledge across business, application, data, infrastructure, security, and integration architecture in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong strategic planning capabilities with a consulting mindset and proven architecture modeling skills
  • Effective leadership skills, including negotiation, persuasion, salesmanship, teaching, managing, conflict resolution, bridge building, and being politically astute
  • Analytical skills like a technical translator, abstraction, pattern recognition, logical and holistic thinking
  • Practical knowledge and experience in the use of Archimate, Ardoq, and other relevant architecture, IT, agile, and project management frameworks, standards, and methods
  • Strong people skills and the ability to engage all levels of the organization, storytelling, and manage expectations
  • Ability to connect across disparate parts of the organization and understand architecture domain implications of enterprise priorities ●
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, and fluent in English. ●
  • (International) Travel is expected up to 25% of the average working period

Experience & Education:

  • Ca 5 yrs experience in the Infrastructure and Cloud domain as Architect in a manufacturing environment
  • Ca 3yrs experience as an Architect related to an enterprise level.
  • Advanced graduate degree and excellent academic record (e.g., Master, MBA, Ph.D., etc.)
  • Preferably CITA certified

Competencies:

  • Competencies will be assessed based upon the IASA ITABOK competency framework
