To further strengthen our business, we are currently looking for a Senior Node Engineer to make sure we can support the growth of the company and the ever-changing needs of the EV market. As a Senior Node Engineer you will be part of one of our software development teams, based at our Amsterdam headquarters.

WHAT YOU’LL BE IN CHARGE OF

As a Senior Node Engineer, you help our business to translate requirements from users and business stakeholders into functional specifications and designs. Our teams are cross-functional and consist of engineers, a product owner, QA engineers and designers. Together, you are responsible for your own products and domain. Making EV charging easier and more accessible for our customers while scaling to match our fast growth ensures there are always a lot of challenges. To do well it requires you to have a learner mindset, take initiative and collaborate effectively with your teammates to find the best solutions.

THIS IS HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

• Design, build and maintain services in Node / Typescript and AWS (Lambda, EKS, Cognito, Dynamo, Kinesis, among others)
• Write clean, decoupled, coherent and tested code
• Making architecture and design decisions together with the team
• Make sure our customers are happy with the product(s) you build
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organisation and automatization
• Work in an agile team using Kanban

• Easy-going and team-player
• Able to clearly explain the pros and cons of key development decisions
• Excellent communicator in English, both spoken and written
• You’re the go to person about all AWS things in your team
• You like to teach and mentor others in the company
• You probably have one or more AWS certifications or lots of experience and could lead a community inside of the company on this topic
