The Quantitative Advisory Services (QAS) team within Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) in our Amsterdam office works with clients in Financial Services with regulatory/risk modelling challenges in areas such as Market, Credit risk and Operational Risk. QAS works closely with other financial services risk practitioners, IT advisory and Financial Accounting teams, bringing together the range of quantitative modelling and technical skillsets needed to support clients. The team covers all financial services sectors, with established presence and extensive local knowledge across locations in the US, UK and EMEIA, and Asia.

Your key responsibilities

  • Executing and participating in model development and/or model validation projects within Financial Risk area’s like Credit Risk (IRB, IFRS 9), Market Risk (IRRBB, Liquidity, FRTB), Derivative Pricing and Financial Services Regulation.
  • Participate in client engagements;
  • Effectively translate technical results into impact for senior stakeholders.

What we look for in a candidate

  • A minumum of 2 years of experience in the financial industry
  • A Master’s degree in quantitative finance, econometrics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge with one or more of the following Financial Risk area's: Credit Risk (IRB, IFRS 9), Market Risk (IRRBB, Liquidity, FRTB), Derivative Pricing and Financial Services Regulation;
  • Fluency in the English language;
  • Available for a minimum of 32 hours per week and you are residing within the Netherlands;

  • Guidance: as soon as you start, you will be assigned a buddy and counselor. Your buddy will help you with all the questions you have in the first few weeks and will show you around the organization. Your counselor focuses on your career development and offers guidance where necessary

Application proces

After we have received and selected your CV, a short telephone introduction will follow. Then you make an online assessment in your own time. After completing the assessment, we will schedule your first interview, which will take place with the Recruiter and someone from the team. In case of a positive outcome of the first interview, a second (and also last) interview will be scheduled with other members of the team.

An (online) assessment and a pre employment screening are part of the application procedure.

Depending on your rank the pre employment screening could contain the following: Certificate of Conduct (in Dutch: VOG) or - if requesting a Dutch VOG is not possible - Criminal Background Check of the country you are currently living or have lived during the last five years, integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diploma’s and/or work experience and consultation of the Dutch insolvency registry.
