At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries with our innovative and sustainable app-only service. We do almost everything in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue to grow rapidly without missing a beat. If you’re a passionate Analyst with experience in automation, we’re offering you the opportunity to join the diverse team at our Amsterdam Office and make a real difference in our scale-up environment.

In a nutshell

You'll take over end-to-end projects and ensure that our fulfilment centers are designed, built and operated in the most efficient manner possible. You will work with your team on improving our logistics operations by analyzing issues, suggesting solutions and implementing them. For future expansion, you will contribute to select technologies, define strategies and implement them to contribute to Picnic’s fast paced growth.

What you’ll do

You’ll work on a wide range of exciting projects, which will include responsibilities like analyzing performance of existing machines, and/or processes and lead projects to improve it; identifying what technologies we should use in our future automated warehouses or in the hybrid ones; defining with our Tech team and analysts from different domains the requirements for our in-house developed Warehouse Management System; supporting simulation of existing and new processes and many more projects!

Our Analysts are mainly working with Python, SQL, Tableau, therefore your prior knowledge can come in quite handy, or otherwise we’re looking forward to your enthusiasm learning them in-house.

About you

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Industrial, Production, Space, Mechanical, or related)
  • 4-8 years of experience in fields such as (but not restricted to) technology, supply chain, automation or consulting, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • You can tackle complex challenges with a data-driven, people-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Your communication skills allow you to convert abstract plans into digestible information for your team
  • Big plus if you have worked on projects for automated warehouses using technologies such as ASRS, robotic picking, AMRs/AGV
  • Your mentoring and coaching skills help to bring your team to the next level

You're still wondering if this is the right role for you and you'd like to hear more about it? Send an e-mail to our recruiter Cristina (cristina.ciorici@teampicnic.com) and ask for a short call together in order to get more insights before actually applying.
