Reach your full potential as a Category Manager

As Category Manager, you will be part of the Purchasing team at our headquarters in Hoofddorp. Your daily task is to implement and procure all sorts of products of value for our stores.

In your position as Category Manager, you will be responsible for the entire process of your assortment. You will be in contact with international suppliers, our shop managers and our internal departments. You will be aware of the latest innovations, and you put together the range of our target group. You will also be responsible for purchasing products from our suppliers, and you analyse sales figures and sales margins. As a team, you will be responsible for introducing exclusive products and creative campaigns that stimulate our shopping experience.

You will also be responsible for various projects, such as our omnichannel strategy, the positioning of smart innovations and the expansion in Europe and the Middle East. Due to the growth in the company, you will contribute to the range and purchasing for new stores. You are needed for these new openings!

This is you

  • You have completed a commercial education at HBO or university level;
  • You have gained at least three years of work experience as a (Junior) Category Manager, Purchaser or a comparable (purchasing) position;
  • You have gained work experience in the retail sector (pre);
  • You have an entrepreneurial mentality;
  • You have mastered customer-oriented and result-oriented work;
  • You are ambitious and you take the initiative;
  • You can anticipate market developments and sense of consumer behaviour;
  • You are stress resistant and a real go-getter;
  • You have a good verbal command of the Dutch and English language.

  • An appropriate salary in line with your experience, plus an annual fixed Christmas bonus and a performance-related bonus;
