The vacancy is for a position in the Front End Chapter at Pon Digital Solutions. We are a full service (internal) agency that serves Pon’s Operating Companies (OpCo’s) - businesses that are part of Pon Holding. This means that you will experience a variety of projects using the latest technologies for brands like Gazelle Bicycles, Swapfiets, Urban Arrow and Porsche to name a few..

Pon’s mission is to “move you to a better world”, which is why a significant share of its portfolio is invested in Mobility. Pon Digital Solutions plays an important role in accelerating these OpCo’s with modern digital solutions. Projects can be for example; web applications, native mobile applications, marketing websites and webshops that will be used by a large number of end users.

Projects typically start with technology appraisal where you can choose the appropriate technology for the task at hand. Reusable, high performance code and automated testing practices are highly encouraged. Agile practices are used in all the projects, with an emphasis on the build-measure-learn loop. Solutions are built and shipped by us and we take pride in the quality and maintainability of the end result.

Pon Digital Solutions is a scale-up within a corporate environment. The team consists of 25 enthusiastic specialists and developers from The Netherlands and elsewhere. While we are part of a family owned Dutch company, English is leading in communication. The culture is informal and remote working is well facilitated. Time is made for connecting with your colleagues and sharing expertise between disciplines.

Wat vragen we van jou

Passion and motivation are most important. You will need to have a continuous learning mentality and a desire to stay up to date with the latest technologies.

In addition, we are looking for:

  • 3+ years relevant professional experience.
  • Evidence of experience with a modern JavaScript ecosystem, e.g. React (native), Vue.js and Node.js;
  • Fluent in the English language (spoken and written).
  • A service oriented attitude towards colleagues and clients.
  • Experience with the following are considered a plus:
  • Cloud functions;
  • Automated Testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress and / or Playwright;
  • Continuous Integration;
  • Wordpress.
  • The ability to speak the Dutch language is not required, but a big plus.
  • Eligibility to work in The Netherlands
