As Systems Reliability Engineer at Da Vinci, you will be working closely with a fun team of skilled, smart and dedicated researchers, traders and developers. Our engineers are hands-on and act as a key element in making sure our in-house high performance trading system runs smoothly and efficiently at all times. This role is also suitable for students in the Netherlands who want to gain some practical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the system configuration with a keen eye on resource management, latency and performance planning
- Implementing solutions for proper monitoring and alerting, making sure we spot potential issues before they happen
- Investigating and solving production issues as well as classifying symptoms, identifying trends and structurally fixing root-causes
- Joining forces with the Performance Engineers to get the most out of our systems
- Working closely with developers, helping with writing code and scripts, improving our CI/CD process
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and intrinsic desire to help people out
- An investigative and problem-solving mindset, leaving no stone unturned to get to the bottom of any issue
- The ability to identify underlying root-causes and the engineering mindset to fix these once and for all
- A desire to structure, automate and optimize your own tools and processes as well as other’s
- Strong affinity with technology, computers and networks
- A ‘getting things done’ mindset, even if that means having to work night shifts occasionally
