Test Automation Engineer R&D Digital Technologies

For one of our Agile software development teams we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer. Our goals aim to increase the quality of our products to a higher standard, shorten our time to market and build technical innovations.

It is your role to help that team expand on several core values to achieve these goals. These values include, but are not limited to, ‘Quality as a Team’, ‘Automation as a Team’, and ‘Release more often’. Evangelizing these core values also involves talking to and educating our stakeholders and other teams about their benefits. We are looking for someone who values teamwork as much as we do, and likes to learn and teach. You are expected to help developers improve their code – for testing purposes – and set up frameworks that automate these tests. These tests consist of System, Integration, and Regression tests. They can be technical tests, but also based around user behavior. You are able to write automated tests for PBI’s, but are also able to advocate what is needed to increase quality overall. Experience with BDD is useful and using formats like Cucumber is a pre.

Department

The department R&D Digital Technologies consists of 17 employees in total. You work together with 9 colleagues in the “HMI” section. This team is a group of technicians with strong sense of responsibility.

• We are looking for a talented, self-driven individual able to:Display an understanding of Agile QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Decompose stories/business requirements into test cases that clearly articulate test objectives, steps, and expected results
• Build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain effective test automation solutions
• Develop and maintain a regression testing strategy for supported applications
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate/perform and document results of test execution
• Report, track, and retest defects prior to release
• Participate in, and conduct, regular test case peer reviews and automation code reviews
• Mentor others in test automation and QA best practices
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks
• Partner with peers and team to build automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline
• Education/Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and/or certifications
• Knowledge of automation tools/frameworks - examples: Selenium, TestComplete, Postman, Ready API or SoapUI, Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps knowledge is a plus)
• Scripting language experience: C#, JavaScript, Selenium, etc.
• Test automation experience in one or more of the following: website, API, web services, microservices
• An advanced ISTQB certification, such as Agile Tester (CTFL-AT), Agile Technical Tester (CTAL-ATT), or Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE)
