Business Analyst

The Data Platform squad is responsible for the heart of the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) Platform. We make sure that the data of our users can be stored securely and efficiently by providing storage, authorisations and network connectivity. Next to that we are responsible for maintaining the development, test and production environments for these core capabilities. You will be part of an area of DevOps squads working on implementing and maintaining this governed data marketplace and interact with squads from the same area as well as teams that are using the platform to learn and understand their requirements and together with your team turn this into business value for these stakeholders.

As a Business Analyst for the Data Platform squad you make a difference

You can contribute to shaping the implementation by bringing in your broad experience in the data and infrastructure domain to identify use cases and translate them from high level business requirements into technical requirements that can be implemented on the Azure platform. You can help to further enrich and improve the functionality of the EDL Platform and advise the organisation in becoming a Data as a Service organisation.

You will assist the product owner to identify additional use cases in other parts of the Rabobank to bring new and improved functionality to the EDL platform. You collaborate on a regular basis with the product owner and the development team to discuss improvements and new features .

• Understanding the goals and needs of the business as no other. You can understand the need behind the request and translate that into (data) requirements.
• Translating the requirements into solutions using the data lake platform. You understand the concepts and solutions forming the Enterprise Data Lake.
• Being the (wo)man in the middle between business and DevOps-teams. You can connect and communicate with a variety of stakeholders, mainly the 9 other squads working on the platform.
• You translate business requirements and issues to analyses and designs in line with the business and IT architecture.
• You are a sparring partner for business management, development teams, Product Owners and other stakeholders. You work closely together with the Microsoft Product Group to stay up to date on future developments.
• You challenge the business teams and proactively support the development teams with a long-term vision.
• You can organize and structure the process of gathering business requirements and breaking them down into logical and sensible activities that deliver business value with every iteration
• You have a pro-active mentality and are not afraid to make mistakes

Requirements

• Good functional knowledge of Azure services
• Infrastructure and networking concepts: VNets, firewalls and private endpoints
• Understand access controls: RBAC and ACL
• Understand Azure storage concepts and implementation
• understand Azure Data Flow,Databricks and Synapse concepts
• Experience in complex data environments
• Good consulting skills
• Experience working scrum in a DevOps team
