Do you get a kick out of inspecting every single building - on the planet? Spotr is a scale-up with a global ambition. We're looking for a software developer who wants to join us on this mission.
Our customers use Spotr to gain insights into their portfolio of buildings, with which they can optimise maintenance and sustainability planning. We gather raw data from various sources and transform it into something that they can use to keep their property sustainable, healthy, and secure.
You will be working on writing the software that collects raw data, processing it into usable data, transforming it and making it usable as an internal API available to our customers and fellow developers. The data you collect includes images from various sources, LIDAR pointclouds data, governmental metadata and building footprints. You will be using technologies like Python and Postgres while leveraging the power of the AWS cloud to build a scalable system that can scale along with our ambitions. To transform the data you will be utilizing various database systems and work with our machine learning models.
You will be working in a multidisciplinary team in their two-week scrum cycle.
Requirements
- You have at least 5 years of relevant software development experience in functional programming languages
- You have working experience with one of the major cloud platforms
- You have working experience with and are comfortable around SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- You are fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
- You thrive in a start-up/scaleup environment where ideas are embraced
Bonus points if you have worked with:
- Python
- AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Cloudformation)
- ElasticSearch / OpenSearch
- Postgres / PostGIS
