Production Manager

Job Description:

Located on the North Wales/Cheshire border, Broughton is the largest Airbus plant in the UK and focuses primarily on the manufacture of wings within the Airbus family of aircraft.

We have exciting opportunities to join the team at Broughton as Production Managers. You will take First Line Management responsibilities for a team to deliver an agreed manufacturing process.

Responsible for the daily management of Process Performance, People, Machines, Materials Methods and Measurement of Performance and Improvement.

The Production Manager adds value through operation of an effective Lean based Management System process that continuously improves across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP).

Key Activities

• Provide and maintain a safe working environment for the Team
• Develop a motivated capable team that displays a ‘can do’ approach
• Interface with integrated support functions at the working level
• Putting appropriate actions/measures in place to ensure business targets are met reviewing where appropriate
• Carry out regular process confirmation of the business area including functional activities

The Production Manager works on the same shift pattern as their operational team. This may include Mornings, Afternoons and Nightshift.

Skills

• Experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Sound understanding of Lean Working Methodologies
• Team Management experience
• Excellent communication skills
