Engineering Manager – Architecture

In this role, you drive not only the Architects’ professional development but also their happiness and growth. You work closely with the Head of Engineering, People leads, competency leads and Directors to position teams for success. You do this by creating and cultivating a culture of autonomy, ownership, knowledge sharing, cooperation and continuous improvement of the engineering practice. You will also be focused on helping teams by removing blockers and ensuring they always have access to the right tools and knowledge, so every engineer feels confident and empowered to deliver high-quality projects / clients.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on growing the development and architecture discipline within DEPT®;
• Work with sales to bring in new clients and upsell solutions to existing clients;
• Cooperate with technical directors on creating new technology propositions for our clients;
• Focus on scaling the architecture group and leadership group in both technology and business competencies;
• Focus on improving quality of work of the architecture team, leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products and processes;
• Sharing your knowledge across the teams and towards different competency teams.

You:

• 5+ years of relevant experience within development architecture including leading a team;
• A proactive and optimistic approach to resolving problem;
• A high degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to provide constructive criticism and feedback;
• The ability to prioritize tasks, think strategically and plan long-term for oneself and the team;
• The ability to build trust and bring teams together to solve problems;
• The ability to manage people and help them grow;
• An agency background is a plus;
• Experience with projects of a digital native nature is a plus.
