As an Assistant Manager within our Corporates Cyber team focussed on Cyber Strategy and Governance, you will primarily be focussed on the following:

  • Engagement Delivery – Deliver cyber risk and control services to large Corporate clients as part of an engagement team.
  • Relationships - Build constructive working relationships across different teams, functions, countries or cultures
  • Client Relationships - Develop lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs
  • Opportunity Identification - Get involved in business development activities such as proposal writing, presentation pitches and opportunity management
  • People – Coach and develop the team around you, promoting a culture of learning and development

You will also have opportunities to support our Leadership team as we continuously evolve our strategy, help build and evolve our propositions as part of our investment into our capabilities, and create and be recognised for Thought Leadership that supports our market messaging.

Experience

Specific to the role, we are looking for people who can demonstrate a proficiency within one or more of the following delivery skills and experience:

  • Performing organisational cyber risk and control assessments related to the use of a range of technologies, including but not limited to cloud technologies, enterprise architecture and zero trust networks, within the context of an organisation’s threat landscape and cyber risk profile.
  • Developing risk management strategies aligned to business and technology risk appetites, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Developing and executing risk monitoring capabilities across a three lines of defence model, including continuous control monitoring
  • Articulation of cyber risk to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the development and use of methods such as cyber risk quantification
  • Understanding and delivery experience with leading security frameworks (i.e National Institution of Standards Technology Cyber Security Framework (NIST CSF), ISO27001:2013/2022, National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI))
  • A working understanding of security architecture principles
  • A working understanding of developing risk-based cyber strategies
  • A working understanding of cyber security governance models
  • A working understanding of regulatory requirements (NIS, GDPR etc) of organisations in individual sectors.

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree level qualified or similar (preferered) and/or demonstratable equivalent experience
  • Recognised cyber security qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, M. Inst IISP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CISA, SANS etc.), or working towards achieving these
  • Cloud security certifications (AWS/Azure Practitioner, CCSP), or working towards achieving these (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Intermediate project management skills
