Primary responsibility for managing, improving and implementing Compensation & Benefits programmes and providing a customer-focused, accurate and efficient service to managers and employees across the business.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the review of current incentive programmes for our global population which includes support roles as well as sales roles
  • Manage the global annual compensation and performance management process for all countries, working closely with the HRLT.
  • Provide guidance and creative solutions on total reward issues including the setting appropriate pay levels, base pay, benefits, annual incentive pay and long-term incentive compensation.
  • Produce market data/ benchmarking data for the business when requested
  • Become the point of contact and subject matter expert for global reward across the business.
  • Identify and select compensation surveys to analyse the company’s competitive market position.
  • Assist the Group HRD with the preparation of documentation for the Remuneration Committee
  • Set up governance to ensure robust target setting and tracking of incentive measurements.
  • Develop training, plan rules and communication materials for incentive and recognition plans; and
  • Manage relationship with benefits’ providers if applicable (mainly UK)
  • Frontend and lead global projects as necessary

Experience and personal qualities

  • The ability to manage strong relationships, developing trust and credibility with customers, partners, peers, teams, internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive sharing of best practice to peers and teams for continuous improvement of performance in their area of expertise
  • The ability to analyse issues, develop solutions and influence key decisions, balancing risk with results
  • Drive customer focus in everything we do to gain and retain high quality customers for the long-term success of Travelex
  • Have in-depth experience of sales compensation design, administration and implementation, preferably within the Retail Sector.
  • Possess a deep understanding of “business as usual” reward processes and operating these with an HR Operations team
  • Have superior analytical skills and capable to quickly assess business requirements, think strategically and operationalise concepts and ideas
  • Exposure to Workday would be advantageous
  • Have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, effectively deliver results, and meet deadlines
  • Have the ability to create tools and models to interpret and analyse data, highly proficient in Excel.
  • Have general compensation experience with exposure to competitiveness, analysis, market pricing job evaluation, and job families
  • Have strong business acumen and understanding of finance/corporate planning processes.
  • Have the ability to establish productive and positive working relationships quickly and influence people
  • Be capable of making clear and cogent presentations to all levels of management and general sales force; and
  • Have the ability to work independently but comfortable with asking questions or for guidance when needed
