About the Role

In the near future we will need to bring a Service Assurance Manager into the business. The Service Assurance Manager is responsible for the technical assurance, system verification and validation, cost and risk, and deployment for total systems being introduced into a legacy comms system. The candidate will ensure analysis is performed at all levels of total system product/service to include: concept, assessment, design, manufacture, test, in-service, operation, maintenance and disposal.

The Service Assurance Manager directs the logical and systematic conversion of customer, product or service requirements into a total systems assurance solution that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. They shall manage the functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements though to successful service delivery.

The Service Assurance Manager will provide technical leadership to a diverse technical team of cross functional engineers to ensure successful system/product assurance, service delivery and programme execution for their scope of work. Design solutions need to be reviewed and assessed through the internal design review business rhythm to ensure they are robust and include appropriate margins to facilitate safety, performance, producibility and operational availability/supportability.

The selected candidate will ensure program plans and technical baselines are consistent with program control processes, requirements and digital transformation initiatives. They shall ensure identification of lessons experienced and learned, and that corrective actions are initiated and implemented to improve future and ongoing programs

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Outstanding team player, strong technical and leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • UK Citizenship; Current SC clearance or ability to achieve.
  • The successful candidate should have experience with systems engineering tools for requirements management, service introduction, technical assurance, system verification and validation
  • Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to function in a multi-contractor environment with the ability to broker conflicting inputs from multiple stakeholders/organisations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under no supervision with the ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Cradle to grave requirements management to ensure requirements are met and sold off.
