About the Role

Lockheed Martin has an exciting opportunity for an Integration and Test Engineer to join our Cyber Works Centre in performing a range of test engineering tasks across the development life-cycle.

We are looking for an individual who has the drive to develop and deliver their own solutions autonomously. In addition, there with be the opportunity for essential investigation of Cyber threats, developing test support tools, simulators, and analysis tools to support testing and integration.

This ­­­­full-time position focuses on responsibilities that include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Work with senior engineers in discussions with customers during requirements analysis, converting operational needs into technical requirements specifications.
  • Apply their specific knowledge, combined with ingenuity and creativity to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Assist with requirements analysis.
  • Assist with virtualised infrastructure design, testing and implementation
  • test engineering tasks across the development life-cycle, such as: assisting with requirements elaboration, test analysis, test design, test execution and reporting

Required skills, qualifications and experience

You will excel in this role if you have any of the following skills:

  • Experience working with computer systems, networking hardware, security appliances and software.
  • Solid understanding and application of systems and integration engineering principles, requirements analysis and decomposition, system architecture and design.
  • Understanding of virtualisation concepts, especially ESXi, vSphere and associated interfaces/APIs.
  • Linux and/or Windows experience and comfort with Bash shell and Powershell.
  • Experience/familiarity with deployment tools (mainly Ansible and Terraform).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools, JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket.
  • Strong networking skills (TCP/IP) and possibly NSX-T.
  • Software development experience or familiarity particularly with Python.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • High standard of ethics and personal accountability
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.

Due to the nature of the projects involved and the level of security clearance required, this role is available to SOLE UK NATIONALS only. We are willing to sponsor someone through new clearance, which could delay a start date for around 12 months. This role therefore is perfect for someone thinking seriously about their future career.
