Joining Enterprise Analytics & Data The Enterprise Analytics and Data (EAD) team is to enable consumer intimacy and the intelligent enterprise. We are driving, scaling, and monetizing our investment in data to drive faster decisions, personalize consumer experience, and realize top-line and bottom-line impact across the value chain. To unleash the value of data for PMI, we are driving a holistic data and analytics transformation program including the shift to a federation of data & analytics skills and capabilities to accelerate PMI on the journey to become data driven. What’s the purpose of this role? As we strive to achieve a smoke-free future, becoming a data-driven company is one of the key requirements to enable our company to make right decisions. Data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) are the backbone of good quality data that will fuel PMI during this transformation. The purpose of the Material Master Data Management Lead is to grow our data foundation for Material master data domain and become an integral component of our data driven company strategy. You will define the best practices, standards, and processes in this domain, ensuring single source of truth for the company for material data. To enable this, you will have the opportunity to analyse complex and exciting challenges, recommend and drive actions, in collaboration with different partners on this journey, among business and IT communities. To be successful, you will get the opportunity to acquire an in-depth understanding of business functions and general knowledge in MDM at PMI, functional and technical. Where we See This Role Going As you will be embedded in multiple projects and initiatives from the business and from IT, you will get to capitalise on your analytical and facilitation skills, to build our MDM roadmap for Material master data domain. You will act as product owner and will have the ability to influence our product roadmap for implementation in our MDM tool stack, in collaboration with our technical team. While we see this role expanding within the function and the company, we’re looking for a clear willingness of getting out of our comfort zone, to learn new processes, new technologies and new skills from day one, as we seek to be agile and innovative in our day-to-day life. Your day-to-day • Lead the implementation of PMI Master Data Management strategy, principles, standards, data quality rules, processes and procedures, collaborator training, etc. for your master data domain. • Collaborate closely with data governance and policies & standard team to build sustainability in MDM • Interact with multiple collaborators to ensure alignment of Material Master Data across different projects and initiatives. • Drive the MDM roadmap for Material Master Data domain, by assessing business requirements, measuring its value versus its cost, and prioritizing said requirements. • Support testing and rollout of Material Master Data functionality in project environment to ensure Business requirements are fulfilled. • Analyse & recommend action in data maintenance processes based on transversal alignment across Master Data domains. • Provide maintenance and support for existing Material Master Data management solutions. Who are you? You are a product lead or an experienced business analyst, that focuses on “doing the right thing” and “doing the things right”. You have been solving complex challenges and communicating with ease to influence different type of partners on the right decision. What is needed to succeed in this Role? To be successful in this role, you will need to capitalise on a right mix between work experience and knowledge acquired in your education. Your external perspective and standard methodologies will be adding a lot of value to PMI. This mix, supported by strong soft skills, will make you the perfect candidate for this role. Education: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Governance or equivalent area. • Any project management certificate is a plus (Agile, Scrum, PMP, SAFe, etc.) Experience: • Master data management (MDM), data analytics, data quality, data governance or related area. Having this experience in a consumer goods or regulated multi-national industry is a plus. • Project management methodologies or product development processes (such as Agile or Scrum) as a contributor or as a leader. • Material or product master data domain, including associated MDM solution such as SAP MDG. Soft Skills: • Excellent ability in framing business challenges, measure business value against cost and synthesizing complex topics in simple communication. • Flexibility to handle unforeseen challenges and make the right fact-based decisions. • Collaborative mindset and independence in your critical thinking and work. • Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored to both business and technical collaborators.
