Our Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture team is working in partnership with HS2 to deliver the new London tunnels from Euston to West Ruislip. Our joint venture team is working on sites at Euston, Old Oak Common and West Ruislip, building tunnels 13 miles long and up to 50m deep, supporting delivery of HS2 phase one.

We are looking for a Consents & Engagement Coordinator to join our HS2 team onsite in London. You will be responsible for supporting the project’s communications strategy and help deliver our plans for engaging with all stakeholders, the local community and the public.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of an integrated community engagement and public relations strategy for the whole project
  • Engage proactively with the interface and delivery teams to review construction impacts and minimise effects on stakeholders
  • Support HS2 to promote a positive image of the project and raise public awareness of the benefits of the project
  • Support the Community and Stakeholder Engagement teams in coordinating information and messaging via the full range of media channels across the project, helping to draft materials, deliver training and briefings, undertake event management e.g. drop-ins, exhibitions

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-functional team
  • Experience of the construction industry
  • Experience in a community engagement role
