At Grosvenor, we seek to recruit and develop people who share our values – Integrity, Respect and Trust – and have the skills and ambition to help us implement our strategy.

Hello, we’re Grosvenor

We think this is a really special place to work. So, before we get into the details of this job opportunity, here’s a few words about who we are and what’s important to us.

We’re about delivering lasting commercial, social and environmental benefit

Grosvenor is an international organisation whose activities span urban property, food & agtech, rural estate management and support for philanthropic initiatives to deliver lasting commercial, social and environmental benefit. For this role specifically, there will be particular emphasis on supporting our UK property business where our focus is on creating places where communities, businesses and nature thrive.

We’re steeped in history but focused on the future

You’ll find our roots within the Grosvenor family’s 1,000 years of documented history and over 340 years of property investment excellence. But we are an organisation that’s firmly focused on the future. From progressive environmental action to being at the forefront of community engagement, we work with purpose and embrace change. So diversity of thought, new ideas and fresh perspectives really matter to us. We want our people to bring everything they are to work. Their life experiences, their knowledge, their unique take on challenges and solutions.

What’s it like to work here?

Well, there is plenty to talk about. It’s purposeful, whether that’s greening our places in clever ways or engaging meaningfully with local communities. It’s sociable, in our buzzing café and at our many events. It’s ambitious, which you’ll see in our transformational development projects and investment pipeline. It’s challenging, varied and supportive; did you know we have an employee innovation programme? We also enjoy a flexible work environment and, because it’s a family business, we like to think we are a little less corporate too.

Interested? Then take a look at the job opportunity below. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a brilliant career at Grosvenor and we look forward to receiving your application.

Purpose of role

To help inform, engage and inspire employees, supporting the delivery of our business strategy, strengthening our culture, and enabling our people to champion the organisation.

This role plays a critical part in delivering internal communications within our largest business - Grosvenor Property UK - and our Group Team, which is made up of specialist functions operating across Grosvenor. It also directly supports internal communications initiatives across the wider organisation as required.

It sits within Grosvenor’s Corporate Affairs team, which is part of the Group Communications function alongside the brand communications team, providing support to all parts of Grosvenor.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver internal communications for Grosvenor Property UK (GPUK) and the Group Team, co-ordinating communications targeting London-based employees and supporting other communications initiatives aimed at Grosvenor employees as required.
  • Working with teams across the business to create content ranging from digital newsletters, intranet (Hub) pages, content for the office environment, videos from our Executive team and more, as part of an integrated communications programme.
  • Working with the Head of Internal Communications (who is primarily responsible for GPUK/Goup Team internal comms) and other members of the Corporate Affairs team to support project specific internal campaigns, employee events and awards to maximise employee engagement. Examples might include a new employer brand campaign, internal engagement around our biodiversity and carbon reduction goals, or helping our people understand more about the breadth of the Grosvenor business. It could be running a quarterly business update, shining a light on the latest solutions being tested through our employee innovation initiative, or championing involvement in our Greener Futures Community Investment Programme.
  • Contributing to the strategic development of our approach to employee engagement and how we inform and inspire employees to act as advocates for the organisation.
  • Tracking, analysing and advising on the most effective mix of channels and the performance of different internal communications that are issued.
  • Providing operational support to internal communications and employee engagement for other parts of Grosvenor.
  • Provide corporate communications support for a range of initiatives promoting Grosvenor’s UK and international activities. This may include:
  • Dedicated initiatives by the Group Team’s specialist functions (e.g., Group Digital Innovation, Group Technology, Group Research, Group Finance etc.)
  • Supporting the content production of Grosvenor’s Annual Review as well as dedicated reporting exercises (e.g., Gender Pay Gap Report; Modern Slavery statement etc.)
  • Ensuring key sections of Grosvenor.com and our intranet pages are up to date and that content is clear and impactfully delivered
  • Championing and promoting adherence to Grosvenor’s communications and brand policies.

Essential requirements

  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge and strategic understanding of internal communications and employee engagement.
  • Ability to adapt communications for audiences of varying seniority and technical understanding.
  • A strategic mind-set with demonstrable sound judgement and the ability to achieve change through perseverance and diplomacy.
  • Clear demonstration of successful management of projects/campaigns.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and across all levels of an organisation including senior management.
  • Well organised and confident handling a number of demanding responsibilities at once.
  • An effective ambassador for the organisation.
  • Adept at using a range of social media channels and proficient with Microsoft applications including Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook 365, PowerPoint and Excel.
