Job DescriptionPosition:

Our client is running a program in which we are implementing a new global order management and trading environment for all asset classes as well as a portfolio management system for equity. They work along the lines of Scaled Agile (SAFE).

We are looking for a Scrum Master for the epics of this implementation. You will be part of the team that implements the new OMS as well as an EMS solution for Traders, Portfolio Managers, Risk, Compliance and Operations. This is a complex environment, with requires alignment between a broad range of Value Streams and Product teams. The Scrum master has a core role in this alignment As a Scrum Master you will….

  • Be part of a DevOps team
  • Work as a Scrum Master next to regular DevOpS work
  • Will facilitate the Team Agile Ceremonies like Sprint Plannings and Retrospectives.
  • Assist the team preparing and acting on the PI Planning days.
  • Actively participate in the weekly Scrum of Scrums sessions.
  • Actively participate in the monthly Community of Practice sessions.
  • Be the servant leader of your team(s) as they strongly depend on efficient leadership in following the Agile practices and managing workload or any conflicting situations that may arise no matter the nature.
  • Act as a mediator between the team, the Product Owner, and the stakeholders, as it’s important to be able to build and maintain trust. It will build up to other skills required to manage a Scrum team.
  • Be available to be a back-up for the Product Owner in standard meetings.
  • Become a good role model and encourage your team to overcome any hardships, either by offering sound advice, sharing your own experience, or providing support.
  • Prompt the team to discover their potential, improve collaboration, develop their skills and knowledge, and learn how to be self-sufficient.
  • Teach your team Scrum / Kanban and SAFe.
  • Drive relentless improvement
  • Have a keen eye for team issues.
  • Address and (try to) solve team and program impediments.
  • Initiate and participate in improvement initiatives.

QualificationsKnowledge and Education:

  • Must be a certified PSM: Link
  • Must, at least, have taken the SAFe© Scrum master Training: Link and preferably passed exam.
  • Basic knowledge of the Asset Classes which are used within an Asset Manager;
  • Basic knowledge of integration methods;
  • Basic knowledge of change management;

Experience:

  • Must have worked at least one year within an Agile / SAFe© organization Skills / Mindset.
