You will be part of our documentation team within technology reporting to Senior Technical Writer.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for existing and new market products in cooperation with our Hardware Development team, Marketing team and external agencies.

Your main responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

• Creating technical content for our product documentation in accordance with industry requirements and applicable standards.
• Technical input coordination with the stakeholders (project/product managers, reviewers, customers).
• Planning and coordinating creation of technical illustrations.
• Coordinating localization of our manuals.
• Continuously improving our technical documentation.

What you'll bring to the team

Technical Skills/ Hard Skills

• You have a relevant education, either in engineering, technology or information technology.
• You have a minimum of 3 years work experience as a technical writer at a SME or larger organisation.
• You have a proven track record in creating technical documentation (instruction manuals, white papers, data sheets, etc.) for electrical, electronics or consumer products, and in creating documentation to support new-product introductions.
• Experience with a Document Management System, and the application of modular documentation techniques, is a requirement.
• You have excellent communication skills (oral and written), and you have a high standard of English.
• You have the ability to quickly analyse and comprehend new or unfamiliar technical systems, processes, and terminology.
• You work meticulously with details and have the ability to see the broader picture.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DITA writing and DITA CCMS.
• You're a native speaker of English.
• Knowledge of Dutch and German.

• Previous experience in the automotive industry.
