About the job:

The Client Director is responsible for building a solid Account Management team. Beneficially, the successful candidate will have experience working with technology-based products with a strong understanding of the product development process, to ensure that the account management function can work effectively. You will have significant commercial experience in the logistics industry, combining strong team management skills with a passion for leading on and renewing accounts personally.

Your role:

  • Lead the account management team and build strong relationships with all existing clients.
  • Lead interactions with all strategic accounts. Work closely with our clients to identify their needs and develop strategies to grow with Cycleon and grow our client base through upsell and cross-selling.
  • Oversees and implements short- and long-term strategies for building client relationships, generating additional business and driving revenue.
  • Set team objectives and targets; manage and develop sales plans, together with the VP sales.
  • Ensure the account managers meet the ongoing needs of existing clients while accomplishing individual revenue goals.
  • Facilitates targeted action plans to resolve issues and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Build QVP's (Quantified Value Propositions) with existing clients.
  • Establish data collection and reporting and monitoring processes that reflect the health of accounts.
  • Develops budgets/policies/processes to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Ownership of the full account management and renewal process for the full global contract book.
  • Creating and refining processes to monitor performance, manage workloads and identify additional streams of revenue and upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to suggest product or solution improvements responsive to client feedback and industry trends.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions and into developing yearly budgets.

Your Talents:

  • University degree in commercial studies, with 5-10 years managerial experience.
  • You will have strong experience leading an account management team, with proven success
  • Candidates should have strong affinity with IT-based products and a strong understanding of logistics and operations.
  • You will be hungry for success and resonate this as a team leader.
  • A hands-on result orientated “self-starting “professional with a structured and pragmatic approach. Results & client focused working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • A natural people manager with the ability to coach and motivate the various teams and client stakeholders.
  • A person with strong analytical skills and a high integrity.
  • Easily liaise between different expertise and interest groups, listening attentively, creating understanding, respectful of each other and working together towards common goals.
  • Critical, open minded, never afraid of challenging the status quo to help the company innovate and improve.
  • Using effective communication skills (oral and written) keeping clients and all other stakeholders informed throughout the project phase.
