At MARS, relationships with our customers are our top priority. Your responsibility is to further strengthen relationships and expand our business with Pure Play customers in the fast-growing dCom channel.

Your focus lies on driving sales through building and developing relations with strategic online customers by optimizing assortment, online visibility, promotions and activations.

In this role you are responsible for two categories (Confectionary and Pet care), and you work closely with the NL & Regional dCom team, marketing, supply chain and finance department. You will report to the Head of Digital Commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • P&L responsibility for dCom Pure Play customers like Bol.com, Picnic, Brekz and Topdierenshop
  • Develop, implement and evaluate effective account plans in line with our growth philosophy
  • Drive customer engagement together with the dCom account teams
  • Optimize distribution and visibility of the Mars portfolio through optimal execution of our Perfect Digital Store framework
  • Develop and follow up on activation plans, working with the supply and customer marketing teams
  • Forecast and lock sales volumes according to your commercial calendar
  • Drive a continuous learning cycle through a Test, Learn and Scale approach
  • Share and present learnings to other dCom teams within the region
  • Manage financial targets (NSV/ton, Trade expenditure, Folder & Other Trade)
  • Analyze Mars business at the customer according to set business KPI's, draw conclusions and act upon those conclusions.
  • Keep close contact with MARS Regional Customer teams in the UK and Germany (e.g. Amazon)

Key Skills required:

  • University (WO) Degree with an Economic or Business background
  • At least 4 years of (sales) experience in FMCG/Consumer Product environment, at HQ level
  • Experience in eCommerce, preferably with pure players (like Amazon, Bol.com, Coolblue, Picnic)
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from multiple data points and sources
  • Being able to combine sales focus with creative and out of the box thinking
  • Negotiation skills
  • Being able to think and act from a helicopter view
  • Being able to work under pressure and in complicated sales situations
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
