In this role, you have the opportunity to

As intern for the Market Access and Reimbursement, Precision Diagnosis, division you will help shape strategies that deliver bold innovations and solutions to customers and patients in precision diagnosis space, and gain real-world experience working on high visibility assignments across the product cycle from concept to commercialization. You will also support the integration of health economics and market access into the value proposition creation and evidence development plans.

You are responsible for

  • Supporting Market Access and Reimbursement assessments
  • Contributing to the development of clinical and economic value propositions and evidence;
  • Analyzing and synthesizing a large amount of information into concise report/s and recommendations
  • Creating multiple presentations in PowerPoint and presenting them to cross-functional team/s
  • Project management

You are part of

A growing Market Access and Reimbursement team for the Precision Diagnosis cluster, where you will support a wide range of innovative health technology projects across the Idea to Market process.

To succeed in this role you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Currently attending Master Program in Health Economics, Health Policy, Public Health, Health Outcomes, Health Services Research, Market Access Analytics, Hospital Administration, or another related degree.
  • Self-motivated, team-focused individual with strong communication and analytical skills
  • Driven to learn about market access, product development and evidence generation to demonstrate the value of our solutions to key stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
  • Average fluency in MS office suite of solutions (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Nice to haves:
  • Understanding of payer decision-making, coverage, coding and payment
  • Prior internship experience in consulting or health industry/business environment.

In return, we offer you

A unique and challenging internship assignment! Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €900 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop.

Selection procedure

Part of our selection procedure is an online test. Based on the outcome of this test and your resume, you will be selected for the next round, a virtual video pitch. If you pass, you will be invited for a business interview, which will be the final step in our selection process.

In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled in a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – needing to be signed by the student and the university.
