The Business Development lead within Financial Advisory Clients & Industries (C&I) is responsible for providing advice and guidance to FA’s GPS Lead Partner(s) and Lead Business Partners (LBPs) on GPS priority accounts.

In this role, you will manage and support key industry programmes for FA in GPS including priority sector and account management and, working with the FA Campaign Marketing team, development and execution of best in class go-to-market activity for maximum client impact.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supporting FA GPS lead Partner in the development, implementation and monitoring of FA’s GPS strategy
  • Develop annual industry plan for FA, working with firmwide industry stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Work with FA Proposition teams to define and deliver effective route to market through priority accounts and across wider industry
  • Develop and deliver at least one GTM sales campaign for FA Propositions targeting a defined market segment in your industry
  • Drive pipeline discipline by joining or running regular pipeline calls for GPS focused teams across Financial Advisory to focus on, opportunity qualification, revenue and growth opportunities using our CRM system (Jupiter).
  • Manage industry client target groups on Jupiter to enable effective targeting and engagement with key proposition campaigns
  • Engage in wider firm GTM activities as appropriate for FA to ensure GTM alignment and opportunities for FA business to engage clients
  • Monitor FA revenue plans across GPS, providing monthly insight into performance to inform decision making.
  • Management of the portfolio of FA Priority sectors across GPS, supporting FA’s GPS Partner group in the development of annual account plans and in driving the implementation of the plan across FA in line with firmwide strategy:
  • Own sector and priority account plans, ensuring targets are underpinned by informed decision making and an actionable sales plan.
  • Ensure pipeline quality across your portfolio using Jupiter, ensuring ‘must win’ opportunities are identified and supported
  • Develop priority client relationship plans and coordinate interactions with these clients, considering opportunities for engagement across FA, leveraging firmwide assets as appropriate
  • Support LBPs to identify and leverage firm resources for the effective execution of the GPS Sector strategies
  • Work with FA and GPS Campaign Marketing teams to ensure campaigns are embedded in account and client relationship plans appropriately
  • Ensure client feedback is sought and acted on to drive client satisfaction and clients’ likelihood to recommend us.
  • Where required, manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

  • Strong numeracy skills with close attention to detail and the ability to absorb

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, ability to push back on requests where not seen as a priority focus activity for FA.
