Your role

The Tax C&I Manager, Account Focus, will play a key role in bringing the best of Deloitte Tax to our highest priority clients across our FY23 priorities.

Reporting to the Head of Client Portfolio Management (Tax), the role holder will work as part of an integrated team across Client Portfolio Management and Marketing to embed key account management activity.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Tax C&I team to prioritise areas requiring support to implement the Tax marketing plan successfully and efficiently
  • Working with senior stakeholders to drive engagement with (and reflect the needs of) our key Tax clients in our C&I activity, specifically working with the Account Focus Partner Sponsor to refresh and update the Tax practice’s approach to account management & account development (formally BPAM/BPAD)
  • Championing best practice account management and development within the Tax practice
  • Managing the rollout of the Lead Tax Partner (LTP) programme across Tax’s priority accounts, including advising LTPs on client relationship accelerators
  • Developing relationships with the central C&I client development team and colleagues in other businesses (service lines) to explore best practice and enhance Tax’s offerings as appropriate
  • Relaunching and leading the community of Tax Client Account Managers (CAMs) – providing them with relevant training, content and support
  • Providing guidance and support to Lead Tax Partners (LTPs) on their input into the annual planning process on Tax priority accounts

Location: The role can be located anywhere within our National offices, however UK travel may be required on an ad hoc basis.

Your professional experience

  • Proven experience managing account development programmes.
  • Strong project management and time management skills; ability to track and manage a significant number of concurrent initiatives
  • Client centric mind-set
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, and on multiple assignments while maintaining top quality deliverables
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, flexible and proactive attitude
  • Exceptional eye for detail and ability to prepare executive-ready materials that “tell-the-story” succinctly and logically
  • Team-oriented with ability to working a fast-paced, high-volume and often dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to develop strong and effective relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a ‘trusted business adviser’
  • Experience of working independently and with remote teams based in the UK and overseas

Desirable

  • You will have worked in a similar capacity within a large professional services firm or Partnership structure
