The new actuaries will work closely together, and with a senior manager who current delivers insights under IFRS4, to increase our capabilities in this area, and capacity to provide business insights. The candidates will be capable of working independently within a small team and be working collaboratively with a range of actuarial, finance and busines areas.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

  • Work collaboratively with the business partners and the business to help them understand the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Work collaboratively in the valuation reporting team to ensure the results meet expectations.
  • Increase knowledge of the new IFRS17 results so that new KPIs are understood and well managed – though supporting Business Partners.
  • Storytelling the IFRS17 results – at the new level of granularity that IFRS17 brings.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement that focuses enhancing the service provided to all stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships across relevant Finance and business areas.

Your skills and experience:

  • Excellent communicator who is able to explain results and bring insights to management (including non-actuarial)
  • Experience of working in an actuarial reporting team
  • Experience of reporting procedures, processes and operating controls for a robust delivery of reliable and accurate financial reporting to auditable standards.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel. Prophet, VBA, SQL also an advantage
