The opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our People Team as a People Services Consultant, specialising in all administrative aspects of the People Services team. This is an exciting time to join a small close working team who support the People Team with a number of critical processes. The role is fundamental to ensuring all our administration activities are completed accurately and timely and would suit anyone wanting to work part as a team to deliver a great service. We strongly promote agile and flexible working therefore in addition you may be supporting wider activity across the People Services and People Hub teams.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting in processing various aspects of monthly Payroll cycles.
  • Assistance in post payroll reconciliations where required
  • Supporting with queries on suppliers’ payments and invoices
  • Assisting in processing third party payments.
  • Assisting and/or completing post payroll balancing
  • Assisting and processing organisational and structural changes on Payoll/HR system, directly impacting payroll
  • Assisting with fleet related queries such as company and hire cars changes and reporting as well as liaising with our leasing partner on behalf of our employees.
  • Supporting Learning and development function ensuring compliance with our Governance team, providing relevant reports and data as well as assisting with any customer queries.
  • Managing employee files ensuring compliance with GDPR.
  • Providing employee references
  • Taking part in various projects In line with People Team agenda.
  • Collaborating with wider People Team.
  • Providing support and advice of highest standard to our customers – Zurich employees!

In addition the role also involves…..

  • Playing a key role in a multi-functional People Services team which, apart from Payroll processing, also includes governance delivery, 3rd party contract management, sickness and absence processing, fleet administration, onboarding operations, retirement and exit operations, benefit administration.
  • Supporting the People Services team with the day to day activities across the team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of all work.
  • Responding to and resolving enquiries to provide an effective customer service and clear advice to colleagues and customers.
  • Ensuring data integrity for respective areas of data entry and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Being an ambassador for Continuous Improvement highlighting improvements and enhancements to existing processes to the People Services Manager and implementing improvements where agreed.
  • Working closely with the wider People teams to ensure a seamless experience for colleagues and customers.
  • Dealing directly with colleagues across the UK to resolve general and complex enquiries.

Your experience:

  • Strong Administrator experience of 2 years + is essential (HR experience desirable).
  • Previous experience of working in a large organisation with fast paced environment and culture is desirable.
  • Experience of working in a Shared Services function within an HR/People team would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SAP desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience of working within a Finance team as well as previous exposure to Reward would be desirable, although not essential.

  • Good PC literacy (word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Mindset for looking at opportunities to improve existing processes to make them more efficient
  • You will be a pro-active individual and a logical thinker, with the ability to make decisions, while working within a supportive and close knit team
  • You will have great organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a demanding environment whilst juggling multiple priorities
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude, even in the face of demanding deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Discretion with an understanding and awareness of confidentiality
