THE ROLE

The Retail Area Manager Factory Outlet will be part of the Retail Operations team reporting into the Director Outlets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure our stores are delivering the best service and store environment
  • Analysis of sales reporting and create action points to drive sales
  • Drive and monitor KPI with store manager to ensure maximum performance
  • Ensure a good level of after sales and handle customer complaints when the store is unable to resolve the issue
  • Proactive in proposing & elaborating store and team incentives
  • Weekly performance reporting to management
  • Leading weekly conference calls
  • Providing bases of yearly target phasing
  • Regular comparison and benchmarking of markets and competitors to then feedback key findings to the business
  • Pro-active commercial actions to suit individual markets
  • Detailed commercial floor walks on store visits together with the Store Manager (based on store check list)
  • Relationship building with 3rd parties including center and department stores
  • The implementation of new operational initiatives including CEGID
  • Conducting store audits with feedback and action plans for the store manager
  • Training and coaching of the store manager within all operational areas
  • Appropriate cash handling and financial reporting
  • Together with the store manager review budgets and costs of the store regularly
  • Ensures all OPEX costs incl. staff, supplies and expenses are managed
  • Obtain regular feedback from the stores to address specific merchandising needs
  • Optimize Customer data collection in store and implementation of all CRM and omni-channel initiatives
  • Ensure all VM guidelines and instructions are followed
  • Recruitment, induction and training of new managers
  • Development and coaching by performance management (PDP)

THE PROFILE

  • Bachelor degree, or knowledge gained to this level gained through experience
  • Solid understanding of fashion retail, retail KPI’s, budgeting and forecasting and developing action plans to drive store performance
  • 4+ years of experience as a regional retail manager or district sales manager for a fashion retail brand Planning & analytical skills
  • Natural leadership style and experience in coaching & developing teams
  • Independent, flexible, accurate and proactive attitude with a ‘can-do’ mentality
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team with people at all levels. Strong influencing skills
  • Experience with the German market is an advantage
  • Able to perform well under time pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German is an advantage
  • 70% travel required
  • Driving license is a must
