Job Description

Internship in Procurement Excellence with focus on negotiation excellence (NeX)

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Gain first-hand insights into a highly professional procurement organization from the perspective of the procurement excellence team. The team drives state-of-the-art procurement excellence programs which support the procurement organization to achieve business targets regarding quality, availability, competitive pricing etc.

A key program in the team is negotiation excellence, which supports supplier account managers in their annual supplier negotiations and tenders of new business. You will predominantly focus on supporting this program but not exclusively to enable the best possible learning.

You are responsible for:

Supporting procurement excellence consultant in the NeX program which includes

  • Supporting the preparation and execution of high-impact negotiations and tenders
  • Screen upcoming negotiations together with the negotiation leads and recommend suitable NeX support
  • Consult on optimal negotiation design applying relevant methodologies
  • Innovate NeX by screening current developments in negotiation theory and practice

You are a part of:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Studying towards your Master’s in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field.
  • Ideally, good understanding of negotiation approaches, bargaining/ game theory and first practical negotiation experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with ambition to deliver high quality hands-on mentality, positive mindset and team player
  • Eager to learn and create business impact by taking ownership
  • Knowledge in and enthusiasm for microeconomics, mechanism design, game -, bargain -, auction theory, and negotiation theory
  • Good Excel/Powerpoint skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
