As part of your internship you will assist the Investment Reporting Analysts in their day-to-day work. The main objective of the department is to provide our clients and regulators correct, relevant and timely information related to their investment portfolios. Do you want to learn about the Investment Management industry, portfolio management, different investment products/solutions, different technology stacks and do you want to communicate with various departments within NNIP? Apply now!

The internship fee for this internship is € 450 (HBO background) and € 600 (WO background) gross based on a 36-hour working week.

Your impact as Global Reporting Analyst at NNIP

Your role involves having an in-depth understanding of our clients’ needs and regulatory requirements. Interaction with other departments is a must to be able to deliver high quality reporting services to our clients. Besides the day-to-day work, participation in projects or specific assignments can be part of the internship. Your impact will be on the customer experience side where reporting plays a major role. Proper communication, drive, detailed focus and learning by doing will guarantee a high service level to our clients.

Your responsibilities

With your day to day activities, you will be part of the team picking up reporting tasks. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate creation of reports. As we apply a four-eye principle to all reports we create, you will also validate the work of your colleagues. There is the possibility of side projects that might be allocated to you or in which you would participate.

One of the most common tasks is creating and sending out customized reports to our global clients (e.g. pension funds, insurers and banks). We report to these clients on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis. Creating these reports will teach you how to work with Excel, Power Query Editor and Power BI. A solid knowledge of Excel and Power BI is therefore an advantage. On a monthly basis you will also send out standardized reports. These reports are for example Strategy Briefs, Factsheets and Holdings files. Aforementioned is a more simplified process, however much knowledge on the content of these reports can be gained.

Next to that it’s important to learn and enjoy the work you are doing. Experience the environment to see if this is something you like and would like to pursue a career in. This is not confined to the reporting area. As you will get into contact with many other departments, you will get a better understanding of the broader operating model of the Asset Manager. You should be able to form an idea of your interests and strengths to see in what area you would fit best to start your career (or identify where not!).
