Most of our Sugar customers are multi-product importers and Palm oil (cooking oil) in jerry cans and containers is part of their portfolio. Their import volumes are generally larger for oil than for Sugar.
Golden Agri-Resources Europe has so far delivered very little oil in jerry cans to customers at destination since its production lines are favoring breakbulk oil or its derived products. Sugar customers represent a potential market for this product.
The intern, in addition to an operational function in logistics, will have the mission of quantifying and qualifying this market and exploring the possible synergies between Sugar and Palm oil. The final goal is to adapt production to these new markets if it appears to make sense.
A minimum of English is essential to evolve in an international environment. The intern will be part of the Golden Agri-Resources Europe Sugar team based in the Netherlands (Utrecht). You must be both a support to the daily trading activities, mainly in logistics, and show initiative in the pursuit of their thesis.

Golden Agri-Resources Sugar specializes in white sugar in containers with a marketed volume of half a million tons per year, or 20,000 containers. We’ve got good relationships with the main producers of the different countries of origin (Brazil, India, Thailand, EU, Central America, UAE etc.). And our customers are located in more than 50 countries. GAR's sugar counts around 20 people in trading, logistics, and accounting, spread across Singapore, the Netherlands and Brazil. The senior members of the team have many years of experience in sugar trading at the largest trading companies.
