ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

  • Support the process of consumer and customer insight generation for Combustibles portfolio
  • Support with the analysis of total Nicotine and Combustibles market trends and consumer behaviour
  • Support research projects management according to business objectives and in line with Global Oracle Methodologies
  • Ensures efficiency, accuracy, and alignment within the Global Oracle
  • Share Combustibles insights: internal and external Area-wide insights’ information/ data to assist informed decision making

Reports to: Research & Insights Executive

Reporting Level: Manages self

Geographic Scope: Area – North Western European Area (NWEA)

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Manage the identification, design and deployment of research/insights projects within the insights programmes, ensuring stakeholder alignment and deploying appropriate methodologies in line with operating procedures.

  • Support the team with Research projects management and analytical support
  • Run research & insights brief creation covering all mix elements, advising on business question/action standard definition & recommending appropriate marketing research design to ensure investment is ‘fit for purpose’.
  • Lead the project interface between internal stakeholders (usually brand marketing), agency, and the end-market(s) to ensure adequate project control and provide transparency and guidance to relevant stakeholders to complete projects OTIF.
  • Proactively generate concrete consumer insights and drive communication of these insights to key stakeholders.
  • Act as a thinking partner to support and challenge brand strategic thinking: deliver commercially sound, consumer centric thinking based on actionable insight to enable brand & platform development leading to competitive advantage and growth.
  • Proactively demonstrate excellence in analytical thinking and information synthesis, including knowledge and use of data platforms, with the strive to provide an evidenced-based point of view.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • HBO or University degree in a relevant subject
  • Proficient in English and Dutch is not a requirement
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Deeply curious about understanding Consumer behaviour & attitudes
  • Structured & organized way of thinking
  • Committed to time scales & attentive to detail
  • Proactive, dedicated, and creative
  • Ability to promote the culture of continuous improvement
  • Possesses effective communication and presentation skills
  • Resilient, flexible, and confident to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Team worker

BENEFICIAL

  • Ideally some experience in consumer research & insights within consumer goods company or market research agency or consultancy
  • Experience and skills using data visualization tools such as Power BI/ Tableau
