Contracts Counsel - Amsterdam

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be based in our Amsterdam office as part of our legal department's firm procurement team in Europe. You will also provide back-up support to the teams in other parts of the world.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will help provide comprehensive legal and risk management services across the firm.

In this role, you will draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements with suppliers including non-disclosure agreements, data licenses, services, SaaS and technology agreements. You will coordinate with other departments to vet and onboard new suppliers. You will also advise stakeholders on legal, business and information security risks.

Lastly, you will provide support on other initiatives and matters as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Law degree with excellent academic record; member in good standing of a bar
• 3+ years of experience in law firm practice or comparable experience representing purchasers or sellers of products and services with an emphasis on technology or matters involving intellectual property
• Experience counseling international clients on legal, business and information security risks and developing strategic solutions
• Experience with Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a plus
• Business-oriented problem-solver who skillfully identifies risks and solutions
• Pragmatic lawyer who strikes the appropriate balance between facilitating business transactions while managing risks
