Sustainability at Mammoet

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will help us evaluate the carbon footprint of our equipment by supporting the development of a SMART and repeatable process for data gathering and building a database of equipment emissions information, in line with the anticipated requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and Mammoet’s sustainability roadmap.

You will work with the Head of Sustainability and Internal Communication to:

• Investigate current reporting and communication activities for Mammoet’s sustainability and values initiatives
• Extract and gather data on awareness of Mammoet’s sustainability and values initiatives
• Write a report and give a presentation with recommendations on how to improve awareness and widen the value of sustainability to the business
• Assist with internal communications campaigns
• Assist with regular sustainability reporting
• Assist with launching new sustainability initiatives (potential for overlap with Innovations)

The role will involve investigating, collecting, verifying, entering and processing the data that underpins Mammoet’s carbon reporting calculations. You will also be involved in helping to develop updated and improved processes to improve accuracy of carbon reporting and streamline the process by which the evidence data is collected and analyzed. Furthermore, there will be opportunities to explore and make recommendations on how to grow the sustainability community at Mammoet and increase awareness across the business of Mammoet’s sustainability roadmap and associated initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Studying for a bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel and PowerPoint, experience with SharePoint would be an advantage
• Attention to detail
• Experience with sustainability and communication topics
• Experience in data collection and data interpretation
• Self-starter and task oriented
• Excellent critical thinking/problem-solving skills
• Verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
