About AIHR

Founded in 2016 with the mission to future-proof HR, the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR) has become the world’s market leader in online training for human resources professionals. We have a global customer base spread across 140+ countries, amongst which companies like Unilever, Reckitt, Goldman Sachs, Philips, Deloitte, Nike, Heineken, and UBS. It is our goal to continuously educate 100,000 HR Professionals by the year 2025.

We are an international team of 50+ people, driven by excellence, innovation, and a hunger to grow in everything we do. As such, we strive to provide the world’s best courses and excellent support to our customers while continuously optimizing every aspect of our work. Our team is international, with over 25 nationalities, yet we all share a few traits: we're friendly, enthusiastic, and great team players.

Being a fast-growing company, working at AIHR means taking on a lot of responsibility while getting countless opportunities to develop yourself in new areas and craft your role. Still some questions about what we do exactly? :) Look us up on YouTube and check out some of our Learning Bites.

Role and Responsibilities

AIHR has around 50+ different online courses to this date. Because of our rapid growth in the last five years, no two courses have been documented the same way or to the same level of detail. As the HR Content Management Intern, you will be responsible to catalogue all the courses in the AIHR library. You will lead the project, supported by several other Product Team members, to review our courses and document the details:

  • Who is the instructor?
  • What skills do we teach?
  • Which learning objectives were met?
  • How many resources were built?

All this information (and a bit more!) you will organize into an easily searchable, usable, scalable format that the Product Team will rely on for years to come. At the end of this process, you will be the undisputed expert on all of our course content. What’s more, you’ll be the proud owner of all of our SHRM- and HRCI-recognized certificates!

On a typical day

On a typical Monday morning, you start the day with a team stand-up, where you brief your colleagues on how the project is going and the most recent updates. A member of the Product Team wants to ask you a few questions about the course you documented last week, so you plan to sit down and talk through their questions.

Next, you spend some time planning for the week ahead. You’re a little behind schedule with the project compared with what you agreed with your manager, so you meet with her to determine priorities and set the next steps. Once you’ve got your game plan, you spend the morning building out the outline for the Organizational Culture course and locating documents that may or may not already exist. Before you know it, the morning has flown by and you’re satisfied with the structure you were able to build for the course. You head to a break feeling pleased that the work you’re doing will enable the team to plan for and predict what comes next.

After a quick lunch in the office with colleagues (we have two shifts since a few months ago because the team has grown so much), you get back into the course flow, and before you know it, you’ve logged everything already!

You are pretty sure that tomorrow, after making some updates to the filing system for the Organizational Culture course, you will already be back on track with your progress. This gives you some time to compile a few questions about the structure of the course, which you will discuss on Friday with your manager. After that conversation, there is the company-wide monthly business update, during which the founders share all the results of the previous month with everyone. Afterward, we gather with a drink online for our weekly team activity, and you get to know better the new colleagues who recently joined and the rest of the team. Although we all work very hard to make the company grow, we like to relax and enjoy our joint success.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone autonomous, structured, highly detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent written communication skills (able to write excellent English), and an interest in pursuing a career in HR, e-learning, or organizational psychology. One of the fantastic things about this opportunity is that it will be your full-time job to learn! We want to make sure you can really make the most of that time in your future as an HR or learning professional.

  • A recent graduate or currently in a final year of study in HR, Education, or Marketing (content-related);
  • Able and willing to work 40h/week;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Meticulous, observant, and organized. You’ll be in charge of building and maintaining a searchable database, and the project will succeed or fail on your organization and attention to detail!
  • A preference for a high degree of autonomy, managing time, and creating timelines for your project;
  • Able to work from our (COVID-proof) office in Rotterdam for faster onboarding and coordination;
  • Available to start as soon as possible, but no later than July 1st, 2022;

NOTE: We are not able to sponsor a visa for this position.

We offer

  • An opportunity to learn about HR and participate in enabling the education of tens of thousands of Human Resource professionals from all over the world through our courses;
  • Internship compensation of EUR 700,- gross monthly salary;
  • Internship duration 4-6 months;
  • The opportunity to shape your day-to-day work;
  • Flexible working hours & working from home arrangements;
  • A high degree of autonomy in a vibrant, result-driven, inclusive, and international team;
  • A beautiful COVID-safe office right across Rotterdam Central Station (Milleniumtower);
  • A possibility to work remotely from abroad for one week during your internship;
  • We pay for the books you read!
  • MacBook + all other equipment you need to do your work;
  • Daily lunch prepared by a chef, weekly drinks, monthly dinners, and fun team activities;
  • Free access to the Marriott hotel gym.
