Job Description

The Global Sales Strategy & Category Development team plays a crucial role in establishing win-win category partnerships with strategic retailers, by closely collaborating with global and local sales teams. The team represents the customer and shopper interest throughout the entire innovation process: from early feeding retailer benefits and category growth elements into the project, to the excellent execution towards the customer and shopper.

The team defines the in-store strategy for the category and identifies the key business drivers from perfect shopper understanding. They translate insights into action, by defining execution standards and developing playbooks to guide countries. It’s about defining Go-to-Market strategy for key innovations, defining the picture of success and translating it into sales fundamentals. The team works closely with countries to track progress and overcome potential barriers. They build external selling stories and create the customer engagement package, as well as create global shopper marketing guidelines and assets for transcreation in countries.

The team operates as key business partner to global sales & marketing teams, as well as other functions at the global headquarters, with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, up to the Executive Committee.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Global Shopper Marketing intern you will be working in an international environment and support the Sales Strategy & Category Development team.
  • You will be in charge of analysing data across countries, customers, and segments and compiling best practices across countries.
  • You will participate in creating trade stories and POS material playbooks for key innovations and in compiling shopper insights across countries and identifying key learnings.
  • Part of the role is also to support in preparing multi-country workshops, trainings, and meetings. This internship is an ideal opportunity to acquire experience at a major international company.
