Do you want to play a key role in the introduction of new products? As Product Industrialization Engineer, you are the representative of product industrialization in multi-disciplinary teams ensuring best in class transition from Product development to manufacturing. You will develop and improve processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems within the PDLM cycle, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes. PIE is part of Operation Project team of NPI & Manufacturing Transfer & ensures factory ready to rollout NPIs in the factory . You will work on New Product Introduction as well as Manufacturing Transfer Projects

You are responsible for

  • As Product Industrialization Engineer, you within PDLM is responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes.
  • Pitcher of Manufacturing Transfer projects towards the sites
  • Initiate and oversee process technology development activities in the context of Product being transferred from Pitcher to Catcher site
  • Ensure adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications and release
  • Accountable for process and Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from R&D. Provides active inputs on improving the Manufacturability of the New Product
  • Identifies, design, implement and validate manufacturing processes, tools and equipment enabling quality and efficiency
  • Driving make/buy decisions and be involved in supplier selection process
  • Accountable for the process and equipment capability that meets these Requirements
  • Orchestrates design for lean manufacturing with according inputs to PDLM workflows
  • Accountable for MF BOM and routing Master data until release to shipment
  • Accountable for establishing Inspection and Test Criteria for Philips owned components and assemblies
  • Ensure the smooth manufacturing & ramp up at Catcher site by solving the Mfg. issues on fast track
  • Preparation & Release of Mfg. DMR ( Work instruction, PFMEA, Process validation docs etc)
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles.
  • Executes the processes and standards in adherence to compliance with safety, regulatory- and environmental requirements as well as local laws , Philips General Business principles and other policies

You are a part of

The Business Unit Diagnostic X Ray Systems (DXR). This Business delivers medical systems and solutions that are based on the usage of X-ray. Within this DXR Business the Product Industrialization department is responsible for developing and releasing the manufacturing process for new products considering people, quality, processes, tools and the performance of production execution from order to installation, with the purpose to establish faster, better and cheaper realization processes in order to achieve world class results. You will report to the Product Industrialization Leader of DXR and work closely together with ISC Factory, engineering, purchasing, logistics, quality, supply chain, catalog development and manufacturing

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor or Master degree (Electronics /Mechatronics (Preferrable), Mechanics, Industrial engineering)
  • Several years experience in similar role
  • Worked in global environment, Preferably 3+ years
  • Work Experience in New Product Introduction, Manufacturing transfer Projects
  • Well versed with Manufacturing Fundamentals, Infra Establishment & Capex Budgeting/Execution
  • Expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Assembly & Testing
  • Experience in Quality management systems (preferably in the medical industry),SAP, Agile, Windchill • Preferably experience with process validation (pMap, pFMEA, IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Hands on Experience with FMEA, 8D, SPC, A3, Lean Manufacturing, APQP
  • Willingness to travel
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a result driven and quality driven approach
  • Strong personal & communication skills in English
