In this role, you have the opportunity to

be involved and lead the next generation of cloud native and FHIR based Clinical applications.

You are responsible for

  • The design, implementation, integration, deployment and test of a (sub) system, component or module in high quality, according to requirements and on time
  • Complying and aligning with software development professionalism standards within the team (processes and methodologies, quality of requirements, design, coding and testing)
  • Gaining a good understanding of the market’s needs and translating these into implementation requirements while considering the overall solution
  • Technical alignment on design and implementation between different teams working together on the same solution
  • Mentoring junior engineers and promoting domain knowledge, innovative thinking and customer understanding
  • Promoting trust, openness and leveraging external capabilities locally and globally

You will be working in the enterprise diagnostic imaging business, reporting to the R&D Group Lead. The team is based at the High-Tech Campus in Eindhoven – also known as the smartest square mile in Europe – where (large) corporates and startups innovate next to each other. Working together with teams in Brazil we foster a hybrid way of working.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Experience in a comparable agile software development setting – ideally as a DevOps Engineer – with strong knowledge about Infrastructure Automation processes and tools as well as Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration and Test Automation.
  • Experience in a comparable technical leadership or mentorship role with proven ability to drive best practices, mentor others and advocate for technical innovation.
  • Hands-on experience in building environment and source control tools (GIT, TFS, Microsoft Build, Jenkins, Artifactory, Grunt) as well as writing "infrastructure as code" using deployment and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure). Ideally experience with cloud platforms and services such as on AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python);
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing PaaS\SaaS infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Finally: a true "roll up the sleeves and get it done" working approach with demonstrated success as a problem solver. Comfort "working virtually" with teammates and customers around the world.

Preferred – one or more of the following

  • Technical full stack developer (>5 years) who likes to get things done;
  • Experience and interest in cloud-native development and cloud environments with a good understanding of deployment automation and infrastructure as code
  • A DevOps and Continuous Improvement mindset;
  • Team player with good communication skills and some healthy perseverance;
  • Proven experience in managed languages, preferably C# / .NET Core.
  • Experience in Web technology programming (Javascript/TypeScript, CSS, React)
  • Pre: Knowledge of AWS cloud
  • Pre: Experience with medical software, and relevant standards like FHIR, DICOM and HL7;
  • Pre: Experience with working on complex codebases;
