Marketing internship, this is your challenge:

Vegetarian food is hot. For various reasons, more and more people are actively reducing their meat consumption. This brings opportunities, both for the planet and for responsible entrepreneurship! For over 30 years, Garden Gourmet has been discovering, developing and producing tasty, vegetarian products based on wheat, soya and vegetables: meat substitutes. All products are 100 percent vegetarian, some vegan. In the Netherlands, a large part of Albert Heijn’s meat substitute shelf consists of Garden Gourmet products and we have expanded the range of products to other retailers as well!

In addition to the Netherlands, the products are also available in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and other countries. We are market leader in the markets and countries in which we operate. The market is growing explosively – so every effort is being made to maintain and further expand our position.

From 1st of August 2022 we are looking for a new intern. Do you think it is a challenge to work in a fast-growing category and do you have passion for the food industry? Then we are looking for you!

As a marketing intern you support the communication team and have the following responsibilities:

  • Support and increase knowledge in sustainability, packaging and ingredients for important products;
  • Contribute to communication projects with market and competition analyses;
  • Contribute to the execution of marketing plans and our digital activities, such as the development of content on our website and social media;
  • Provide support for international packaging modifications and approval processes;
  • Make an active contribution in brainstorm sessions.

As a marketing intern you will be supervised by the Communication Marketing Specialist of Garden Gourmet Europe.

This is your challenge at Garden Gourmet:

From the head office of Nestlé The Netherlands we, as European Marketing Team, provide various countries with knowledge, expertise, data and assets to drive local growth. You will be fully involved in the commercial, international team to properly support both existing and new products and to promote the Garden Gourmet brand. An interesting and challenging internship with excellent guidance for a duration of 6 months, in a team with a no-nonsense mentality. You will get to know FMCG, the food category and you will get to know your way within the Nestlé multinational environment in an entrepreneurial category.

Besides hard work and a lot of learning, the social side of an internship should not be missing either! Because of the open and informal atmosphere at the office there is always room for fun, a coffee break, playing sports together and enjoying fun activities. There is also a close intern community at Nestlé. Intern cases and dinners are organized and there is a weekly intern lunch.

An internship at Nestlé has a duration of 6 months and starts on the 1st of August 2022. You will do an internship at our head office in Amstelveen. We prefer fulltime interns, but it is possible to discuss writing a thesis for one day a week (please indicate this clearly in your motivation letter!).
