Gracenote a company owned by Nielsen provides music, video and sports metadata and automatic content recognition (ACR) technologies to entertainment services and companies, worldwide.

Gracenote's music recognition technologies compare digital music files to a worldwide database of music information, enabling digital audio devices to identify songs. We license our technologies to developers of consumer electronics devices and online media players, who integrate the technologies into media players, home and car stereos, and digital music devices.

What needs to be done?

  • Support the Gracenote International Metadata Commercial Team to achieve its goals
  • Market research in a designated country or region
  • This country/region market research could include external market analysis to create the basis for go to market strategy for an allocated territory, or research in order to accelerate market growth
  • Key Market trends and statistics to support the sales process
  • Prepare local marketing communication strategy for sales campaigns run by inside sales team
  • Preparation of a shortlist of potential leads for sales campaigns, this includes:
  • Identifying prospective companies to target for sales campaigns
  • Identifying contacts in companies
  • Approaching prospects and leads
  • Focused on generating new business
  • Participate in meetings, where possible
  • Tracking results of campaigns
  • Providing sales support to Sales Directors globally in order to achieve targets as a team.
  • What has been accomplished 3 & 6 months from now?
  • In 3 months from now you will have familiarized yourself with the way the organization operates. You will have also completed thorough research in your target market establishing target companies and contacts within. You will have also developed a plan to increase sales and pipeline for sports, music and video segments, with key marketing objectives included. The contacts found would be used to bring potential leads into the organization and support sales operations within the country.
  • The last 3 months would involve implementing the go to market strategy using the contacts found during the research to build professional relationships and support sales operations within the country.

What we are looking for?

  • Motivated, organized, and energetic candidate
  • Native speaker of additional language (ideally Spanish) plus fluent in English
  • Interested in market research, analytics, and ability to prepare and present decks
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn
  • Currently working on a work placement or thesis assignment at University
  • Candidates based in the Netherlands with BSN available for 6 month internship
