The Safety Manager is responsible for safety of the Heineken Experience and their guests and staff. The Safety Manager will be responsible for creating a long-term safety plan and the development and implementation of the safety requirements. The Safety Manager provides direct support in the planning, measuring, reviewing and auditing of safety activities day to day.

Your Work Environment:

Heineken Experience is a bustling attraction and event venue in the heart of Amsterdam. The former brewery welcomes over 1MIL every year and numerous events are hosted in the state of the art meeting and events centre.

The Heineken Experience is growing and will continue the competition with the biggest tourist attraction in Amsterdam.

Your Profile:

HBO degree (safety or technical field)

  • 4+ years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or Manager
  • Accurate
  • Knowledge of Dutch HSE regulations and laws.
  • Experience in identifying improvement opportunities, ability to research best practices, and influence change in an organization in order to implement improvements.
  • Good overall knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • BHV/First Aid certified
  • Social Hygiene certified
  • Crowd & Event Management
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Preferably, good command of the Dutch language

HEINEKEN Experience is 365 days open on an annual base. Your flexible availability during the evening, weekend and holidays is required. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a long-term safety plan for the Heineken Experience
  • Prepare procedures including safety statement, risk assessments and safety related protocols to ensure compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure measures to control risks are implemented and monitored
  • Ensure safety management arrangements and requirements
  • Provide guidance and support/assistance to the team for effective implementation on their role and duties for the project
