As part of the Global Innovation Team, you have the unique opportunity to dive into HEINEKEN’s world of innovation. You will develop a great understanding of how to support innovation projects through platforms and tools in order to accelerate innovation in a global company and see how opportunities develop into feasible projects. 

The internship focusses on supporting the global Innovation team, executing different types of internally and externally focused analysis like New Product Introduction Analysis, Innovation Performance Measurement & reporting, Competitor Analysis and supporting in scoping and sizing innovation opportunities for HEINEKEN. Next to this, you will support the team in getting the right information and insights that enable HEINEKEN to measure its Innovation performance vs targets and ambition.

Some of your responsibilities are:

  • Innovation Intelligence
  • Monitoring, analysing, and updating data and performance for various projects
  • Maintaining and preparing key internal communication materials on a regular basis
  • Monitoring and updating progress on key objectives
  • Supporting the team with current projects
  • Working and communicating with internal stakeholders, external agencies and third parties

 Your working environment

As an intern in the Global Innovation team, you will report to the team manager and you will be positioned in the Global office in Amsterdam (if open, subject to local COVID measures). Your team consists of people with different nationalities whom all share the same passion and drive for innovation and success.

Your profile

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking and outgoing person, enrolled in a university (of applied sciences) throughout the entire period of the internship and with a keen interest in the world of innovation management; you can combine strategy and creativity in your work approach. Moreover, you are a people’s person, always willing to be of service to your colleagues and other stakeholders.

Furthermore, you are studying towards your Bachelor or Master’s degree in the areas of Business Administration, Business Communication, Marketing or Innovation.

Also the ideal candidate has:

  • An excellent grasp and control of the English language. Second language is always a plus
  • Persuasive and proficient communication 
  • (Innovation) Management and People skills
  • Creative writing skills
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office applications with particular focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Analytical skills and view
  • Moderate understanding of Google Analytics and other similar platforms

 Important requirement: in case of a non-EU nationality, it is mandatory that you are enrolled at a Dutch university and therefore have a legitimate work permit with student status which will not expire during the duration of the internship.
