Job Description

Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than Q1 2022.

Duration: 6 months

We do require an availability of 40 hours per week to support us.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Assist the businesses, markets and solution spaces in the strategic planning process, strategy execution and analysis. The position provides a unique opportunity to experience the shaping of Philips’ long-term global strategy and be part of a very experienced strategy team.

You are responsible for

  • Support in driving the annual Philips Strategic Planning process enabling timely updates of high quality, meaningful, fact-based Strategic Plans of Record for Philips businesses, markets, and functions.
  • Assist in ensuring an end-to-end connection between businesses, markets, functions, strategists, and execution teams (M&A, Alliances, etc.) by implementing a systematic and lean approach to ensure consistent and impactful execution
  • Analyzing strategy execution dashboards and defining impact for planning & resource allocation
  • Assist in deep-dive Strategy projects
  • Support in non-project related activities that ensure high-team performance & engagement

You are a part of

A team of top-level strategists, located in 3 global hubs located in Amsterdam, Boston, and Shanghai, with wide-ranging backgrounds, nationalities, and competencies. The team works with Philips’s businesses, market organizations and functional teams, supplying them with deep business insights, actionable strategic direction and thought leadership. You will be working at our head office in Amsterdam.

Depending the COVID19 situation, you will be supported to work from home. Given an improvement in this situation, the department manager will inform you when you can return working from our office located in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Studying towards your last year of your graduate University of Sciences Master degree with strong academic record
  • Passionate about healthcare and Strategy
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion to drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication skills; written & verbal
  • Ability to collaborate cross Philips’s businesses and markets on cross-functional issues & create a network within the organization
  • Fluent in oral and written English, Dutch is a plus
