Your challenge

Per the 1st of January we are looking for a Graduation intern, who will investigate Executive Compensation (the compensation of Board members of listed companies in The Netherlands) and simultaneously write his/her Master thesis, preferably on a related topic. EY will fully support you in the execution of the internship and will assist you in finding a suitable subject for your thesis. This internship offers you the opportunity to learn more about consultancy and more specifically about the job of a Reward professional. You will get a mentor assigned that helps you at the start of your internship with formulating your research question, who will also provide you with practical support during the process of writing your thesis.

The 6 month internship provides a good opportunity to get to know each other. Besides the Executive Compensation research and writing your thesis, you will have the opportunity to learn about the projects the team works on. If you are passionate about working as a Reward consultant and you have what it takes, you will surely be the best candidate to join our team after the internship.

Your responsibilities

As an intern you…

  • Perform independent research for the PAS Reward practice;
  • Support the Reward team on several (client) activities in case this is desired;
  • Influence and persuade stakeholders to gain support for any initiatives and/or decisions concerning your thesis;
  • Encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst colleagues, and promote an inclusive working environment;
  • Are available for preferably 5 days a week (this is open for discussion);
  • Are interested and considering to write your thesis in one of our focus area’s: Executive Compensation and Governance, Variable pay, HR Transactions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has an academic background (preferably in the last phase of a Master’s degree) in the area of (Business) Economics, Finance, Law or Social Studies;
  • Is interested in the People agenda of (large) multinationals;
  • Is confident in content and attitude;
  • Is critical, flexible, and proactive, and has strong analytical and numerical skills;
  • Has an excellent command of English, both spoken and written (and preferably also of Dutch);
  • Dares to take responsibility;
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic work environment;
  • Likes to work with people, yet can work both independently and in teams.
