Internship: Business Analyst Philips X-Ray Sales & Operations Planning (Non Thesis)

Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than August or September 2021.

Duration: 6 months. We prefer students to extend their internship until 12 months.

This internship is not suitable to combine it with your thesis, for this we expect you to work 40 hours per week on our project(s). We are looking for two students to support our team.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Support end-to-end Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process in a complex data environment, mapping process to data flow, solving business issues with analyses, managing large and diverse data sets, and balancing requirements across broad cross-functional teams to prioritize near term and long-term deliverables.

You are responsible for

  • Navigating cross-functionally to identify reporting needs, and prioritize the development initiatives, locate and validate data, and ultimately build out the full suite of S&OP reporting per business needs.
  • Managing full portfolio of forward/backward looking S&OP report across supply, sales, inventory, demand/supply waterfalls, KPI’s, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Actively participating and supporting in preparing of monthly market handshake meetings on demand and supply.
  • Preparing & coordinating S&OP meeting and translating data into valuable insights with relevant analysis.
  • Participating in BU and supply chain improvement processes through internally on-going S&OP excellence program.
  • Maintaining and reporting S&OP metrics like Forecast Accuracy, DEFOA, Customer On time to request, Inventory etc. while continuously identifying tools that help improve key business metrics and can be used to drive decision making

You are a part of

An international team of people within the DXR organization. The aim is to serve customers with speed and excellence through lean, process-driven end-to-end value chains. In your role, you will report to DXR O2F program Manager.

You will be working at our offices based in Best (Nearby Eindhoven)

Due to the current COVID19 situation, we do support you working from a home based situation. In case the situation will change, and we will be allowed to return to the offices, you will be informed by your Philips mentor.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards University of Applied Sciences or University of Sciences (Bachelor/Master) in: Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Information Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineer and/or Econometrics
  • Interest to work in Supply Chain environment.
  • Strong data analytical and problem solving skills with ability to translate data/numbers into a key business insight
  • Proficient in common office computer software—Advanced Excel (i.e. Macros) & PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in oral and written English
