Are you a proactive and self-starting student? Would you like to bring in all of your human rights, legal and corporate social responsibility knowledge and skills and assist our human rights team in (inter alia) implementation of our Human Rights policy? Then we are looking for you.

As our new intern you will be assigned a supervisor from our human resources organizational development - human rights team, and you will assist in execution and operationalizing the human rights policy, conducting due diligence and measuring human rights risks for FrieslandCampina. This is a full-time internship for a period of 3 months, starting as soon as possible. This internship will be completely digitally, with a possibility of a visit to our Amersfoort ‘Stationsplein’ location.

What will you be working on during your internship?

  • Analysis of legislative requirements
  • UK supply chain for UK MSA
  • US supply chain for CTSCA
  • Australian supply chain Australia MSA
  • Assisting on EB memo and statements for RFC in relation to MSA
  • Assisting on annual report 2021 and ISO 26000
  • Assisting in operationalizing FC’s human rights policy
  • Assisting in capacity building for RFC in general and 2 OpCo’s specifically, including training/e-learning
  • Translation of complex human rights principles and standards to actionable recommendations for FrieslandCampina.
  • Assisting in human rights due diligence, and other ad-hoc human rights and business related topics
  • Translation of complex human rights principles and standards to actionable recommendations for FrieslandCampina.
  • Analysis and mapping of company policies and procedures;
  • Conducting research into country specific human rights and business issues;

As our new intern, you will be assigned a supervisor and be a part of:

  • research on national and international frameworks relating to business and human rights;
  • the development of tools and guidance on human rights and business particularly targeted at state actors;
  • the development of training materials;
  • ad-hoc tasks in relation to on-going project work.

Competencies and requirements

  • A completed or nearly completed BA degree in law, human rights, business, development studies or related field(s);
  • Prior demonstrable experience or academic interest in law, compliance, human rights and/or sustainable development;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and spoken English required; decent command of written and spoken Dutch preferred;
  • Knowledge or experience working in a business setting is an advantage;
  • Solid communication skills (both written and oral);
  • Full-time availability for (at least) a three-month uninterrupted period.
  • Starting date around the 1st of September
