About the team

This role is within our Finance HQ team, located at our highly internationalized HQ office in Amsterdam. The responsibilities of the HQ team are group financial and reporting matters; we are the central finance organ within our broader finance function, which includes the finance teams within our several business segments. The Finance HQ team prepares key management information and reports directly to the Board on a range of financial matters.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and yearly group consolidation and reporting process under IFRS in SAP BFC.
  • Preparation and posting of top entries, group accruals, and reconciliations of key accounting areas to ensure accurate and complete group reporting.
  • Preparation of variance and trend analyses for group P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement; comparing to prior periods.
  • Supporting the audit process and liaise with the external auditors.
  • Managing segment finance teams to timely conclude on close procedures and intercompany accounting processes.
  • Support integration of acquired entities within the group consolidation and reporting structure.
  • Prepare position papers on key accounting topics under IFRS and ensure adherence to company policy on a group level.
  • Assist the Group Finance Director in developing and implementing robust internal procedures.

What you able to bring to the table

  • Experience with executing group financial consolidation tasks as part of a periodic close cycle under the IFRS.
  • Experience researching complex topics under IFRS and proposing appropriate accounting treatments for such themes.
  • Ability to research and leverage the potential of the group reporting platform (SAP BFC) to fulfill needs within the consolidation, reporting, budgeting, and close processes.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a demanding environment, and able to keep focusing under periods of high pressure and reporting deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field; master’s degree and professional accounting license highly preferred.
  • Preferably a historic tenure at a Big 4 professional services firm.
  • Excellent English skills (both verbal and written). Preferably native speaker.
  • Financial experience within the Media & Advertising industry is a plus.
